Two-Day Trip (8th & 9th or 10th & 11th October)
One-Day Trip (11th October)
Desert Safari
Desert Safari
Desert Safari
Spend a day — or a night — exploring one of Egypt’s most beautiful and underrated regions. Just two hours from Cairo, Fayoum offers a mix of natural landscapes, quiet village life, and wide open desert.
This trip takes you deep into the desert and back to a quiet village. One highlight is Wadi El Hitan (Whale Valley) — a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can see ancient whale fossils right out in the open. It’s a pretty wild reminder of how this place looked millions of years ago.
Driving over the dunes feels like drifting through a giant playground of sand — fast, fun, and totally freeing.
You’ll also hang out at the Magic Lake, trying sandboarding, sipping Bedouin tea, and watching the sunset over the dunes.
If you’re on the two-day trip, you’ll camp under the stars, cook dinner by the fire, and wake up to the calm of the desert morning.
We finish back in Tunis Village, a small spot famous for its pottery and gardens, where you can relax, enjoy a late meal, and if you’re doing the two-day trip, you can also join an optional pottery class before heading back to Cairo.

It has become a tradition that Christina, one of the organizers, offers a trip to her favorite Cairo getaway spot. Together with her friend Nadim, she organized the first trip to Fayoum two years ago during EAC'23. It was a great success, leaving participants with lifelong memories.
This experience sparked the idea to create something more regular and accessible, leading to the concept of Scenic Trips—a travel company focused on adventurous journeys across Egypt. While Scenic Trips is still in the making, the vision is clear: to share the magic of Egypt’s landscapes and hidden gems with curious, experience-driven travelers.
